Culbertson West was built in 1886 by William S. Culbertson, Indianas wealthiest businessman and philanthropist. Culbertson West is next door to the famed Culbertson Mansion and was a wedding gift to his son Samuel. The Culbertson West mansion is also the birthplace of Samuel and Louise Culbertsons two sons, known as The Little Knights of Kentucky in the world-famous story books and movie.
